Ice Ribbon at J. Lynn Crane Park

During the winter season (weather permitting), J. Lynn Crane Park features an Ice Ribbon. Friends and families can enjoy a relaxing skate and take a break warming their hands at the fire pits.

Opening November 29, 2021, for the 2021-2022 season. Reservations available two weeks in advance.

Group Information:

Group reservations are available online. Please be sure to know the exact number of participants. Refunds will not be given for "no shows." Additional participants, not included in the reservation, will not be permitted to skate. Print the group waiver to turn in at your reservation time. Be sure to have all appropriate signatures on the form for all participants. 

Assumption of Risk:

By engaging in skating, skaters and spectators are deemed to have knowledge of, and assume the inherent risks of skating. Those include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Injuries that result from collisions or contact with other skaters or individuals who are on the skating surface
  • Injuries that result from falls
  • Injuries that involve objects or artificial structures that are within intended path of travel of the skater

Skaters Code of Conduct

Skaters and spectators understand and agree to all of the following:

  • Maintain reasonable control of his or her speed and course at all times. Speed of skating must equal the flow of all other skaters
  • Read and abide by all posted signs and warnings
  • Skate only in the direction posted
  • Cooperate with and follow direction of City staff
  • Skates must be worn to access the Ice Ribbon
  • No more than two (2) people may skate together. Trains and long chains of skaters are not permitted
  • Refrain from skating while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or other controlled substances
  • Helmets and protective gear are strongly recommended
  • Skates are prohibited on concrete surfaces
  • Skating outside of designated hours of operation is prohibited
  • The Ice Ribbon may be closed at any time due to maintenance, emergency situations or inclement weather
  • Herriman City is not responsible for lost or stolen items

The following are not permitted:

  • Skating during ice maintenance or closure
  • Chipping or gouging the ice
  • Skating in a manner that endangers or interferes with the enjoyment/experience of others
  • Stopping or standing on the ice
  • Horseplay, game playing, excessive speed, roughness or skating in a dangerous or potentially dangerous fashion
  • Hockey
  • Eating or drinking on the ice
  • Throwing objects
  • Sitting on or leaning over the railing
  • Profanity
  • Alcohol, drugs and smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes
