In December 2016, Herriman City held a yeti-themed scavenger hunt for its residents. Participants used published clues to find the yeti's location throughout the city to win various prizes.
After the Hunt was over, Yeti realized he had a home in Herriman and decided to stay. He is now a larger part of the community, helping with overall branding and outreach for Herriman City. Yeti promotes City events, participates in providing Shop Local information and attends new business grand openings. He even took a trip with a Herriman resident and local reporter to the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
Embraced by the community, the Yeti helped the Events and Communication Departments receive the "Innovation of the Year" award from the Utah Recreation and Parks Association.
