Sarah Burton cares deeply about her fifth-grade students at Herriman Elementary. The coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions that followed for in-person school classes threw a wrench into the engine of everyday life. But Mrs. Burton stays engaged with her students, being sure to teach all the lessons online, attend to emails from class members and their parents, and video chat with her students to answer their questions.
She is described as a wonderful mother, always looking to a bright future for her daughters, who participate in several sports leagues in the community. Knowing their place in a vibrant and caring community, especially during these turbulent times, Sarah and her husband assist friends and neighbors in every way they can.
