June 2018 Herriman High School junior McKaylee Jenson was awarded the Semper Fidelis High School Athlete of the Month by MaxPreps, the leading national high school sports news website. Members of the U.S. Marine Corps and Tiffany Bias of the WNBA's Dallas Wings came to the school and presented Jenson with the award in the presence of her family and peers. A basketball, tennis, and track athlete, Jenson excels in the classroom and on the court and track, in addition to participating in C.U.R.E. (Courage, Unity, Revolution and Empower), a student anti-bullying group. "It's cool to be able to represent Herriman," Jenson told ABC News4Utah. "I love this school and I love my experience here."
