Kiddie Korral
Promising bigger and better things for kids of all ages, the Rodeo has some special surprises in line for 2008. No korral would be complete without all sorts of goodies for the youngsters. Featuring stick horse barrels, calf dummy roping, ribbon pull, mighty bucky, treasure in the haystack & a petting zoo. The Kiddie Korral is a special place for small children to have fun learning about rodeos, you're in for a real treat.
Stick Horse Barrels
Bring your own or borrow a stick horse from us but make your way out to the Stick Horse Race. In Stick Horse Barrel Racing Lil Buckaroos will run out and go around each barrel once and then run back to the starting line as fast as they can.
Calf Dummy Roping
Come out and meet the up and coming rodeo athletes from Herriman's Oaker Bingham Rodeo Club. The club members will work with youngsters and help them learn to rope a calf dummy.
Petting Zoo
Another treat for kids is the Petting Zoo. Farm Friends have put together a zoo that features a miniature pony, donkey, Jersey calves, horse, sheep and other animals. The petting zoo is designed as a safe, clean area, where kids can actually get in and touch the animals.
Mutton Bustin'
Come out early to enjoy the Mutton Bustin' event. Kids ages 3-7, under 60 lbs and no taller than 42" will be bareback riding sheep. Riders are required to wear helmets. Sign ups will be the week of May 19-23 from 6-10 am on the morning shows of KBUL 93.3 and KKAT 107.5 with live call-ins limited to 10 participants per night.
