Animal LicenseHerriman City Animal Services are contracted through Salt Lake County Animal Services. Residents will need to license pets (cats and dogs) through Salt Lake County. Forms are available at the City office to license your pet through the mail. The fees are as follows:

You must provide written proof of sterilization from a licensed veterinarian to receive the sterilized rate. Current rabies vaccinations are required on all pets, unless exempt by a licensed veterinarian. You must include written proof of rabies vaccination by a licensed veterinarian or written exemption from the rabies requirement. Proof of age 60 is required for the senior citizen rate. (Copy of driver's license, ect.) The "Lifetime" senior citizen license is charged a one-time fee, good for the lifetime of the animal. The license is renewed annually by returning the renewal stub to keep our licensing records current, but no fee is charged.
